Designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1987, the Nike Air Max 1 was the first Nike model to feature a visible Air unit in its heel. With the Air Max 1, Tinker Hatfield presented Nike’s Air technology for the world to see. Then he had to do it again with the Nike Air Max 90, bringing the Air Max line into the new decade. 

The Air Max 90 dropped In a number of OG colourways, including the iconic ‘Infrared’. The shoe went on to become a sensation around the world, reaching everything from hip hop culture to athletics . The OG colourways are still-sought after today, with the silhouette forming the basis for some iconic collaborations.

The AM90 was part of Virgil Abloh’s collection of ten classic Nike models, while ‘Bacon’ colourway from Dave’s Quality Meats is recognized as one of the greatest collabs of all time.
