Nothing DJ Khaled does is subtle. So is it any surprise that his sneaker collaborations are just as loud as his outsized personality? In case there was any confusion about the latter, the Miami-based hip-hop producer is setting the record straight with a collection of pastel-colored Jordan 5s that feature branding synonymous with the “We the Best” artist. The collaboration releases on November 28th, but Stadium Goods has Khaled’s ’’Crimson Bliss’’ Jordan 5 in-stock as of this writing, which gives us a reason to talk about the shoe right here, right now.

DJ Khaled’s “We the Best” Jordan 5 project is inspired by, Miami, his home city. Nods to Miami’s warm weather and tropical vibrations are found throughout the “Crimson Bliss,” beginning with its pastel pink leather construction and continuing on to its airy light blue accents. If the shoe’s pink design doesn’t differentiate the “Crimson Bliss” from other Jordan 5s, then “We the Best” branding on the heel of the left shoe, and “Keep” “Going” detailing on the underside of the quilted right and left tongues certainly should.

The Jordan 5 “Crimson Bliss” will be released alongside a somewhat less vibrant but equally as nice “Sail” colorway on November 28th. It’s worth noting that, along with the two colorways, DJ Khaled also previewed blue and purple colorways of the Jordan 5 on his Instagram page earlier this year. But those colorways, as of now, will be Friends & Family exclusives.

If you don’t have a plug, tracking down those Friends & Family colorways might be a tall order. But there’s still plenty to love about the “Crimson Bliss” and “Sail” Jordan 5s: both colorways feature a tropical vibe that will no doubt add some much-needed punch to a dreary winter sneaker rotation as we get deeper into the cold winter months.
